Lightning Protection Equipment

How does the lightning protection equipment protect all my electrical equipment from lightning strikes?

The V-Blox system is applied at every circuit breaker panel and places where two or more pieces of electrical equipment are getting power so all of your electrical equipment will be protected from any electrical disturbances. This application also protects all your electrical equipment from all transient voltage activity no matter where it originates.

A lightning strike is an obvious problem, but most surges, sags, or spikes are very small. Should I be worried?

YES! Surges, sags, and spikes (Momentary Voltage Impulses) are invisible problems because the damage they inflict may not destroy equipment immediately. These short duration impulses are common to ALL electrical systems and silently degrade solid state components and all electrical equipment, which leads to premature device failure.

Do the V-Blox warranty cover lightning strikes?

ABSOLUTELY! In the event that the V-Blox unit should fail due to lightning, both units will be repaired or replaced free of charge within the warranty period. The warranty replacement does not cover the labor to change out the units. In the event any electronic equipment is also damaged as a result of the lighting strike, the damaged equipment will be covered up to $25,000 per V-Blox TVSS unit per occurrence.

What if the lightning strikes twice?

The V-Blox connected equipment warranty offers $25,000 worth of coverage per occurrence with a $0 deductible. So if the first lightning strike were to take out the V-Blox unit, and the second strike happened during the same storm and took out a bunch of electrical equipment, then the damage would be covered up to $25,000 per the Connected Equipment Warranty that each V-Blox unit carries.
